A typographical exploration of the sentence "Do we need holes?".
This laser-cut booklet is filled with visual experiments, exploring the idea of negative space. We see 'undesirable' holes such as gaps in justified text, we see new shapes and holes formed by overlapping type... and finally, an answer to the question itself.


With the Japanese style binding, holes are literally instrumental in keeping this book together. In other instances, there's value in keeping things apart... and sometimes, just to have fun.
